The Knockout™ system is designed to be efficient and low-friction, whether you’re present or not.
Here’s how it works.

Being Home Is Optional

You’re welcome to be home during the visit, but it’s not required.
Many customers choose not to be present because:
  • The work is straightforward and pre-defined
  • Priorities are set in advance
  • The visit is task-focused, not conversational
As long as access is provided, the visit can proceed without you on-site.

What’s Required If You’re Not Home

If you won’t be present, the following must be handled before the visit:
  • Clear access to the property (lockbox, keypad, or entry instructions)
  • Customer-provided materials staged and ready
  • A clear punch list with priorities
Without access at the scheduled start time, the visit cannot begin.

Being Available for Quick Questions

Even if you’re not home, it’s helpful to be reachable.
During the visit, brief clarification may be needed to:
  • Confirm priorities
  • Approve minor decisions
  • Address unexpected constraints
Quick responses help keep the visit moving efficiently.

When Being Home Is Helpful

You may prefer to be home if:
  • You want to walk through priorities at the start
  • You’re unsure about order of importance
  • You have pets that need coordination
Being present is a preference—not a requirement.

What Happens If Access Isn’t Available

If access isn’t available at the scheduled start time:
  • The visit time still begins
  • Scope may be reduced
  • The visit may be marked as a no-show
This is why access details are confirmed ahead of time.

Why This Flexibility Exists

The Knockout™ system is designed to:
  • Minimize disruption to your day
  • Eliminate unnecessary on-site meetings
  • Keep the visit focused on execution
Whether you’re home or away, the goal stays the same: finish the list.

The Takeaway

You don’t need to be home for a Knockout™ visit—but readiness matters.
As
long as access, materials, and priorities are handled in advance, the visit can move forward smoothly.
